| 内容記述 | 本論では「日本人の西洋音楽の演奏に日本語が影響を及ぼしている」という仮説を検討し、そこから導かれる問題を示す。はじめに日本人の演奏が西洋人には何かしら違和感を持って受け止められてきたことと、そうした演奏の原因の1 つとして日本語の影響がこれまでにも指摘されてきたことを確認する。そして、日本語とリズムとイントネーションと日本的演奏の類似点をあげ、次いで西洋諸語および彼らの演奏との相違点を指摘し、その原因として「母語の干渉」という問題を取り上げる。最後に、そうした日本語的演奏をいわばクレオール語のようなものしてとらえる視点を示し、その意味を問う。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper aims to explore the hypothesis that the “Japanese language has an influence on performances of Western art music by Japanese people” and show the challenges that arise from this standpoint. First, we find that Westerners perceive such performances as something strange, and that the influence of the Japanese language has been identified as a cause of Japanese-style performances of Western art music (JPWAM). Second, the similarities between Japanese, rhythm, intonation, and JPWAM and the differences between Western languages and their performances are highlighted, and the problem of “mother tongue interference” as a possible cause is examined. Finally, the perspective of JPWAM as being something akin to Creole is shown, and the question of what this means, is addressed. | |||||
